The new Santa Cruz II with its 50-cabins provides guests with an elegant new way to experience the glories of the Galapagos Archipelago in both style and comfort. This ship guarantees that the utmost care will be given to the Galapagos Islands by implementing the newest sustainable advances in sailing, thus protecting their delicate ecosystem.

With five spacious desks and gorgeous chic interiors designed by the distinguished ship designer, Richard Nilsson, the Santa Cruz II offers toursthat are better than ever. Based on the principle of stylish simplicity, our new vessel guarantees its guests a luxurious ambience from which they can appreciate the breath-taking views of the enchanted islands.

The three decks of Santa Cruz II host 90 guests throughout 50 modern cabins. Guests may choose from a variety of options, which include single, double and family cabins. However, if they desire something more lavish, we also offer the exclusive Darwin Suites, which meet an exceptional standard of accommodation on the boat’s Panorama Deck. These suites provide guests with enhanced service, as well as particularly selected details such as a take-home Galapagos coffee table book and a tablet loan for each cabin.

When they are not exploring the islands’ treasures, guests can kick back in the elegantly designed communal spaces or viewing platforms. These include indoor and outdoor dining, a lounge bar, complete library, two sumptuous hot tubs overlooking the ocean and a gym.

  • Sky Deck: Guests have the opportunity to unwind and take in the sun on the Sun Deck / Solarium, or exercise in the gym equipped with treadmills.

  • Panorama Deck: Here, guests can delight in the fresh outdoors of the aft terrace, which serves as an area for grilling and in the open air. The spacious bar/lounge provides guests with an area to relax, while enjoying the renowned hospitable atmosphere of the Santa Cruz. Our modern bridge is also located on this level of the vessel. We invite guests to visit and learn about the advanced navigation equipment, which is controlled by our highly experienced captains.

  • Expedition Deck: Here, guests can take a break from physical exploration and delve into the fully-stocked natural history library and reading room. This room also includes modern technology for viewing presentations on the geology, biology and history of the famed laboratory where Darwin studied the theory of evolution. Furthermore, as it faces the prow of the boat, the reading room offers a marvelous and soothing area to admire the marvels of the archipelago, but without the heat. We also hold children’s programs and other events in a multi-purpose room on the starboard side of the deck. Along the aft of the boat are two twin hot tubs.

  • Horizon Deck: In addition to Explorer cabins, the Horizon Deck includes a Gift Shop, reception area and the infirmary. Consultations are free of charge and we have a Medical Doctor on call 24/7.
